So far, so good

It was a good day today. I’ve eaten plenty of the right things, but good lord, I’m stuffed. That must mean I’m doing something right and my second day of the detox is going well. I have to admit though, I am not used to eating three full meals a day. This is a huge adjustment for me, but I’m determined. I baked a couple of chicken breasts tonight so I don’t have to think about what to eat for the next day or so. Beats standing in front of an open refrigerator and staring at the insides.

I’m not experiencing any particular cravings or withdrawals…yet. That’s a good thing. I did a killer 60 minute sculpting workout today – first time I’ve picked up weights (or worked out) in months. It was gratifying for a couple of reasons — I completed the workout and I didn’t need to use the lighter weights. That was cool.  I do need to get more sleep though. I was up until 4:00am (no clue why) and then up at 8:00am for a conference call. I should be tired now, but I’m not. It’s not caffeine, I’ve cut back for the detox and don’t drink as much as I usually do. You’d think all this protein would put me to sleep! I’m hoping this is temporary thing and my sleep schedule will go back to normal soon.

I worked with the Mac today — for about 10 minutes. The Mr asked that I do something for him, so I did. He called me a “wuss” for not playing with the computer more.  Frankly, my brain was getting confused. It was just easier to get in, do what I needed to and get out. I need more training.

Day three is on the horizon…I’m thinking it will be another good day.
