A Trip to the “Big” City

Train ticket finally purchased, packing almost done.  Off to San Francisco for classes and to work in just a few hours.

Of course, you can’t go to San Francisco without wanting to eat and drink your way through North Beach (love North Beach), Chinatown or the myriad of other ethnic foods awaiting. I’m meeting up with a friend later today for food, drinks and good old-fashioned girl talk. We have loads to catch up on and I can’t wait.

I’m so excited about going to the “big” city.  It will be fun to be surrounded by the tall buildings, jostled by the diverse population, and being enthralled by the sights and sounds of San Francisco.  Ah the sounds — trying to get used to the noise, on the other hand will be a challenge.  I get overwhelmed by it – literally.  By the time I’ll get used to it, it will be time to come home, to the quiet of the farm.

I’ve lived in the country way too long —
